Sarus Tower

Scope of Work: Repair and restore Sarus Tower

Key Elements: Repair damaged areas and re-paint structure

Project Details

DWW Engineering completed sarus tower repair works to restore a damaged and corroded Sarus Tower structure. The scope focused on repairing affected areas, replacing deteriorated sections, and re-painting the structure to return it to service-ready condition and improve long-term durability.

Works included installing multiple replacement patches over corroded and damaged areas, machining new pivot bushes from a marine-grade polymer for the base assembly, and applying a 1000-micron paint system to reduce future corrosion from exposure and wave action. Hydro testing of the buoyancy chamber was also carried out as part of the refurbishment program.
