The new lock was design to maintain the water level on a new waterside housing estate at serenity cove at the Gold Coast. DWW were contracted to manufacture the new gates and install in-position on site. As the doors had to provide a water tight seal between a tide varying river and the estates waterways, the tolerances were critical.
This project not only contained a steel element, but had various Stainless Steel components, complex rubber seals and specialist bushing materials suitable for the loads and conditions encountered.
