Concrete Moulds for Pump Wells
Application: Steel formwork for casting hollow concrete tubular sections
Scope: Fabrication to DWW Engineering drawings, trial fit, and dispatch
Project Details
DWW Engineering fabricated a set of seven concrete moulds to support the casting of hollow concrete tubular sections used in water and wastewater infrastructure.
The scope included two mould sizes:
- Large forms: 4.4 m outside diameter / 3.6 m inside diameter
- Small forms: 1.6 m outside diameter / 1.2 m inside diameter
Each mould section measured 1.5 m in height and bolted together around circumferential flanges, allowing reliable assembly and repeat use during casting.
Our team fabricated all components to DWW Engineering drawings and trial fitted the assemblies prior to dispatch to confirm correct fit-up and bolted alignment before the moulds left the workshop.
Delivery ran to a staged program, with large diameter moulds: completed in 3 weeks and small diameter moulds completed 2 weeks later.
Highlights
