Calliope River
Scope of Work: New substation steelwork
Key Elements: Fabricate and erect 27 lattice steel towers and gantry beams
Project Details
DWW Engineering delivered new substation steelwork for the Calliope River project, including the fabrication and erection of lattice steel towers and gantry beams. The scope covered 27 lattice landing towers, produced to suit a new tower design and the site installation program.
We detailed the towers using 3D software to develop accurate fabrication drawings for the tower members and beams. After shop fabrication, we trial assembled the structures in our workshop prior to galvanising, then transported components to site for erection.
