A recent project for GEARS Mining out of Toowoomba, Queensland, was a particularly exciting one to be a part of. Not only did they manufacture an exceptional, quality mill liner handler for their international client, they claimed a record for creating the largest in the world! We are proud to have played our part in delivering the essential steel components for this project. Our MD, Tony Whittred, attended the launch and witnessed the impressive structure in all its bright orange glory!

The GEARS Mining liner handler delivered a record-breaking machine with a weighted capacity of 8100kg, exceeding the previous world record by just over 0.1t. And while a win is a win, in the world of mining efficiency, 1% can truly make all the difference.

We are extremely proud of GEARS capability to create this exceptional machine for their international client. This world breaker will be disassembled and shipped to Africa where a Canadian mining client will take ownership. It is impressive that local Queensland businesses are manufacturing equipment that will reside in sites across the globe. And what is even more impressive, is this world record, for now, will remain right here in Queensland.
