September is Queensland Manufacturing Month, a time to celebrate the state’s thriving manufacturing industry, which contributes over $20 billion to the economy and supports more than 180,000 jobs. Powering Queensland’s Renewable Future

As the state shifts towards renewable energy, DWW Engineering is proud to play a role in projects like the Tarong Power Station, located in Queensland’s Southern Renewable Energy Zone. Earlier this year, we delivered the substation steelwork for this project.  

Supporting these initiatives through local steel fabrication in Brisbane not only advances the state’s energy infrastructure but also sustains jobs right here in Queensland.

Local Talent and Skills Development

DWW Engineering supports local talent through our apprenticeship program and sponsoring initiatives like Constructionarium Australia. The not-for-profit provides hands-on training for aspiring engineers by having participants plan, build, and deliver scale replicas of iconic Australian structures. 

Most recently, we fabricated and donated steel components for the Water Battery project, which will be part of Brisbane’s first operational pumped hydro system. This project supports renewable energy infrastructure and helps develop practical  skills for Queensland’s future engineers.
