We recently completed our 14th metal fabrication project for GEARS Mining, highlighting a strong partnership built on trust and consistent delivery. This time, we supplied critical steel components for a liner handler – specialised equipment used in the maintenance of ball mills.
Ball mills play a vital role in mining operations, grinding larger materials into finer particles. Over time, the internal liners that protect the mill shell from wear require replacement. Liner handlers make this process safer and faster. This reduces manual handling and minimising downtime – a crucial factor when each hour saved translates to increased operational efficiency and cost savings.
We recently had the opportunity to see the completed ball mill relining machine in action. A truly impressive sight for all fans of metal fabrication!
